My lessons offer a fun and enjoyable approach to beginner and intermediate jazz and classical lessons.

Each bespoke music lesson is tailored to each one of the learners’ needs. I use my vast music knowledge and 20 years of studying experience to draw useful and interesting learning methods to suit the individual’s requirements, whether they want to brush up on sight reading, work on improvisation, or study for graded exams. I also strongly encourage students to develop their own personal practice interests in order to keep their playing engaging and, more importantly, fun! This might include using MP3s and software at home to help encourage practice.

I strongly encourage taking grade exams, which I can arrange for students. They’re the best way for students to realise their improvement, encourage good musicality and, most of all, give students a huge sense of achievement.

An hour lesson costs £30, or a half hour lesson £20. I do lessons either at my studio in Horfield, or at The Drum Bank (St Andrews, Bristol).
